retractable mirrors
 

i've noticed,lately,that when i extend my side-view mirrors the driver mirror will not fully unfold the last inch or so unless i GENTLY help it.now they won't fully retract without some help .also,whether retracting or unfolding, the mirrors move VERY slow.what could this be?is it a simple matter of lubrication?if so , what would be the best lubricant to use.should i clean the gears before applying lubricant and how does one go about cleaning these?sorry for all the questions and thanks for your time.:( :)
