560SL brake bleeding problem, help!
We have bled the front brakes without any problem. We are now bleeding the first rear and all we are getting is air- a lot!
What is happening and how do we correct? Thank you! |
Try bleeding in different order - Begin with right rear, then left rear moving on to right front and finally left front. Good Luck

Sounds like the rear chamber of the resevoir has gone dry. Take a very close look at the chambers, fill with fluid and rebleed starting from the rear. Keep the chamber topped up after every other opening of the bleeder screw.
Getting the fluid to fill the rear chamber can be a chore, you have to keep adding very slowly as it will only spill over into the rear chamber when the front is nearly topped up. Might be a good idea to shine a bright flash light through the sides of the resevoir to see where the fluid level really is. |
