Refurbishing/Re-sealing early w210 headlights
Hi,
The driver's side headlight on my father's 'new' 96 e300D is kind of yellowed and has water inside. Is there a way to remove the yellowing of the lens? How does one go about re-sealing these headlights? Is there any suggested material to use? Any good ideas on how to get it to dry out thuroughly without taking the lens off completely? Optimally, I will dry it out by leaving the headlights on a lot when Im driving (and covering them in the rains), so they dry out with no moisture condensing inside, then seal them on the outside edges with something. Does this sound good? Or does the yellowing come from the inside of the lens (doubtful), requiring full disassembly? Any info/suggestions/help would be really great! Thanks, JMH
