For those of you with warm running w124 cars

I just thought I would mention this for those of you trying to diagnose warm running problems with your w124: I had to remove the electric fans on my car because they were not working. In the process, I had to remove the FRONT fan shroud (i.e., the one that wraps around and under the electric fans), and when I did that I discovered that the bottom of the fan shroud was absolutely packed with debris. This had an insulating affect on the a/c condensor and radiator, and I know that because since I have cleaned all that junk out of there, my car runs cooler than ever.

I would say taking this shroud off, cleaning out all the garbage and back-washing the radiator may be a worthwhile Saturday afternoon project.

Just a thought.
