i would like to know members opion of which model years are best for this model!
my tech feels that 1992 is most reliable anyone have other thoughts? please let me know!

Personally, I felt that 1994/1995 are the most desirable(Except 500E). You really can't go wrong with E420 or E320. It would all be personal preference. You want powerful, mid size sedan, E420 is hard to beat. You want a luxurious mid-size yet still economical, E320 is the bet. You want Extreme performance, and wolf-in-a-sheep-skin style, 500E(1992 and early 1993 are more desirable) is the way to go....

I have a '95 E320 with ~80K miles, and have had only one minor (and very inexpensive) problem (knock-on-wood). The car runs like a dream. Two separate independent MB techs I have used both think it is one of the best and most reliable models that MB has built.
