Interior color....300SDL
 

Hello group,
I need some help..I have a 1987 300SDL that I am going to sell in the next few months, and I want to replace the leather on the arm rest..I am going to order it from GAHH, but looking at their website they have two reds..I "think" mine is burgandy but can't tell..I know there is a plate riveted to the radiator shroud that has a bunch of numbers on it, is one of those groupings the color?? The exterior color is "smoke gray"..The other choice is "henna red"
I am going to look and see if the numbers on their colors corrospond to any of the numbers on the plate..The burgandy is called 450 and the Henna is 457....
But if anyone knows how I can check this I would greatly appriciate it..

Post your chassis number and I can tell you your trim number. I'm guessing burgundy also.

Excuse me for stupid question but is the chassis number and VIN number one in the same or are they different?

Yes they are the same, it will start WDBCB25 and have ten more digets, the last six being numbers.

Unfortunately the seat upholstery for your car is only called red in the parts info. Your interior number is 277 and the paint code is 702. The engine numer is 603961.12.010471 and the trans number is 722321.02.926428.
