MB Approved Service Products List electronically available
I scanned the November 2001 Mercedes Benz Approved Service Products List and put it in .PDF form as a single document (288kB). I also have it in .DOC form (488kB). I did this because there have been a number of inquiries relating to this subject in the past and I personally believe this information should be easily available to the DIYer (electrons are cheap!). I'd like to somehow make it available to all members and to those who visit this web site, ideally as a link on this web site, as opposed to replying to individual requests. Any thoughts on where we should go with this?

I'm not sure, but I would guess the information is copywritten. I don't suppose the site could air it. Personally I have had no problem sharing such info, but as a public function of the site I'm guessing it would be a no-no.

I did raise that question before, but never got a verdict on the copyright. Since MB doesn't charge anything for the Approved Source List for those that ask for it, I wonder if this is a mitigating factor?

It has been my experience that all the European marques guard their copywrites and trademark info religiously. I heard once from a lawyer that if they didn't their control could erode.

I'll host it if youd like. I'll private message my email to you.
