Will 117 dual manifolds work on a 116?
I have a euro car, but from before they started putting true duals on my model (88 I think). I have a set of european true dual exhaust manifolds from a 500. They need a little reconditioning, but they are solid. They are part number 117 XXXXX. I've seen a set that had part number 116 XXXXX on it. Question is, from the perspective of the exhaust ports, how different is a 117 from a 116? Will these work?

I'll offer this - for model year 86, the US-spec 420SEL and 560SEL have seemingly identical exhaust manifolds but the part numbers are different. Even the exhaust manifold gaskets have different part numbers. I guess port size is different.
Between the US-spec 84 500SEL and 86 560SEL the exhaust manifold part numbers are different but the exhaust manifold gasket part numbers are the same. Sixto 95 S420 87 300SDL |

Well if the port size is different, would it hurt if a bigger manifold port was mated to a smaller head port? I assume that spacing is the same. Also, is the deck heigth any different? Would there be issues with the location of the flanges as in where they were pointing?
