What\'s the hose for??

What's the hose for??

Hi all, ,,

Removed the air filter housing on one of my M102.980. Apart from the big air intake there are two small hoses going from the housing to two places on the engine. What are they for?? I also noticed a light brown substance in these hoses (looked a little like mixed oil and water)

Can anyone bring some light on this?!
