W124 interior wiring - B pillar and rear door

Do you think it is a DIY job?

Rear ceiling light and left rear door light (facing the ground) do not come on.

Fixing the wiring in a door is no big deal if you're competent with wiring repair. I had to fix a short in my window wiring.

Regards,
Brian

If you perform the work, please post your procedures. My 124 rear ceiling light, as well as my trunk light (sensor is OK) , also is dead and I'd like to fix it. Thanks.

b pillar wiring

ma benz has a repair kit for just this problem
part number 124 540 27 35 05.
it includes connectors and barrels to tie in the harness
in the b pillar. you will have to remove the door panel
since it runs all the way to the switch
