Behr Thermostat Kit...
1 Attachment(s)
Hello all,
I've gotten a Behr thermostat kit (picture attached - pirated from Fastlane) as replacement for the Wahler one. How am I suppose to use the included gasket ? The assembly would definitely not fit in the housing when wrapping the gasket around the t-stat due to the extra ear. Any helps are greatly appreciated. Thanks, Frank. |
That engine uses an o-ring, NOT that type of seal ring.
You need 015-997-23-48 o-ring. What is the Behr number on the box? |
M.B.DOC,
It's 116-200-03-15 on the shipper's label. There's another number stamped on the box (blue): Art. Nr. 221880316 Regards, Frank. |
The MB number is correct but the Behr number should be 2.118.80.300 NOT 316 or 312 at the end

M.B.Doc,
The opening temp. engraved on the t-stat is 80 C-degree. Would the one you mentioned (ending in 300 Behr numbering) have different opening temp. ? Looks like it's gonna fit though. I've already ordered the o ring. Please advise if I should use the t-stat or exchanged it ? Thanks again, Frank. |
That is the correct t/stat, just incorrect seal ring.
