190E 1992 SRS light is on...why?
This started after I replaced the radiator fan, belt and water pump.
Could I have disconnected something by accident, that would relate to the SRS and cause the instrument light to turn on? THKS |

Not related at all.
Have you had the cluster out OR the steering wheel?

worth checking the fuse(s) (one or two) on the top of the "overvoltage protection" (ovp) relay. the ovp supplies power to the SRS system and also some other stuff which i don't recall. the relay is located behind the plastic flap aft of the battery. you have to remove the relay to see the fuses. complete failue of the ovp relay seems to be common.

190e 92 129Kmi SRS light on: why? how to reset?
Is the SRS off when the light is on, and how can I either reset it or troubleshoot to repair? I suppose it would the same resetting that would be necessary if one replaces the air-bag for example after it has been launched?
Any clues? THKS! |
