Hello all,
I just got a quote from Bob at RENNTech in regards to a conversion for my rear differential. He said $2,990 to convert the 2.24:1 stock ratio to a 2.82:1 ratio. Is this too much just for a conversion? I know that there are some messages on here regarding using a euro 300SL <???> rear diff in place of the stock unit, but have not heard of anyone ACTUALLY doing this and reporting back the results. I love my cars performance on the highway, but I am also looking for more "off the line" performance too. I don't mind the reduced MPG or even the higher RPMs while curising. Thanks for any input! -David |
