Door Alignment

W126

I have recently noticed upon closing my door, that it needs a very strudy push directly on the handle to close it properly. Otherwise, it will only close halfway.

Would this be attributed to a misalignment in the door and the jamb? How would one realign the door properly?

Many thanks.

I had similar problem with my driver side door. Had to slam it in a very un 126-like manner in order for it to shut. I lubricated the door lock using silicon lubricant. That fixed the problem. The door now shuts like it's supposed to shut, gently with that characteristic thump.
