Angry Transmission Help request

Thanks for looking.

Here are the problems with my 1998 W210 97,000 miles. Fluid changed at 70,000 miles.

1. Sometime (RARE) car drives in high RPM and doesnt shift into low grear (over-drive) and when I shut it off and restart the car it goes away and car shifts normal.

2. Also, when I start from 0 it sometimes give it a kick? However, if I accelerate very gently it works FINE.

3. It has been doing this for last 15,000 miles, and I have taken the long trips and on highway it runs perfect.

Thanks is advance for your assistance.

Thanks Again
98,000 Miles

P.S. I heard this from others, that ETC (Electronic Transmission Control unit). , on W210 has noted problem with the seals from this unit leaking fluid in, and causing erratic shifting errors, which after turning the car off and restarting the car the errors are gone.

Also, I heard about something to do with solenoid plate.

Please advise. Thanks Again
