Hum from Rearveiw Mirror - PeachParts Mercedes-Benz Forum

Over the last 2 weeks I have noticed a continuous hum coming from my rearview mirror. It's one of the auto dimming ones on a '97 E420. Does anybody have any idea of what this is? Thanks.

Possibly from the dome lamp area? There is a small electric motor that pulls air across the in-car temp sensor(a/c system) & many of these do make a buzzing noise (warranty??).
