Did you use some tools? Which side should be inserted first? Should it be done after pedal arm is removed if possible?

My current pad is worn in lower right part. Metal is exposed there.

brake pedal pad

Just replaced mine not long ago. Heat it up with a hair dryer in order to make it more flexible. Works great! Good luck.

Dip it in warm water, it'll make easier to fit on.

That is due to previous owner's driving habbit. Such a habbit is not rare.

Because right side of the brake pedal is closer to gas pedal, that side is more worn: the driver almost fixes his/her heel on the ground and just changes the angle of foot to switch between braking and accelerating.

The brake pedal pad install is a peace of cake, it's the gas pedal pad that's a royal PITA.

The extra material on the side closest to the gas pedal is there to prevent your shoe edge from catching under the brake pedal. Safety feature I guess.

Afshin,
agreed. a salesman at the dealer once told me about this but at that time i thought maybe it was his sales gig.

ktlimq, remove the plastic clip (slides out toward the seat) at the base of the gas pedal with a screw driver and slide the pedal assembly off the floor bracket. Once you get that far the ball joint on the back of the pedal should come apart easily.
