O2 Sensor Light in Dash does not light

'86 300E

If my O2 Sensor has disconnected due to a bad connection or similar cause, will the 02 light in the dash, with key in position #2, before a start, be on or off?

If there is still a bulb in the holder, it should light up briefly at startup. Around that time, it was a "maintenance procedure" to remove the O2 bulb when the sensor was changed for the first time, since there was no reset on the odometer wheel that set it off.

The light works intermittently. I do not beleive the bulb removal applies to the '86 300E -- it does not show in my service manuals or on AllDataDIY.com.

This is fixed. It was the OVP Relay.
