Hi everyone,

My question is can a cd changer from a current E-class will work with a '98 Class. My MB dealer told me that this is not possible and want to know if this is true. I recently bought the C-class from them without a changer but they are offering me a used unit instead. I am wondering if any MB changer will work with my car? Thanks in advance.

If they are both 1998 models then yes it's the same unit. mounting kits are slightly different.

Not related to your question but just out of curiousity, did u buy the W202 or the W203?

He indicated a '98 C Class. This is a W202 car. The W203 is the 2001 model.

Well, it's indeed a w-202 car. I still like the boxy MBs and their interiors. Thanks again!

in the newer model do they mount them in the trunk.
