I wouldn't restore a '79 Toyota. I was actually trying to get around the smog laws here in CA and build a roll cage all in one shot. It ended up being a big project as you can see. The original frame went in the trash along with most of the truck, and that frame in the pix was made from scratch and only weighs 110lbs. I added the wiring as I needed it. I still never got around to putting a horn, wipers, or stereo in it since I have no need for them.
You might like this car then: Chevota No resto, all original 1970 455 Buick Rivera w/ 65K, cherry inside and out. I inherited it from my Grandfather. :) |
