Radiator rebuild
 

Has anybody had any luck in getting a plastic tank radiator rebuilt?

It's radiator time for my '82 300sd, and a local ( very good) radiator shop can do the rod out and new plastic tanks on my old factory radiator for $117.

Should I go for it, or bite the bullit and buy a new one?

Personally speaking, I'd get a new one. 5 yrs and 100K miles is about the limit.

I broke down and ordered a new one.
Mabey I'll try a rebuild on one of my other cars that i know the age and maintnence of the core . This one has a questionable past.
