1986 190E 2.3 8 Valve Idle Air Control Valve

How do you set one of these things without the proper MB tester or taking to the stealer? I had in the past played with it hoping it would help issues but now know I never should have touched the damn thing. My engine runs great through the entire rev range but at idle it is a little shaky. I replace motor mounts and tranny mounts, I have replaced the cap, wire, rotor, plugs, everything except the coil pack itself. All sensors on the engine have been replaced, the fuel filter as well. Set mixture and it is perfect. The O2 has been replaced as well. After replacing the motor mounts last night I figured it was just old mounts, it still does it. Although it is very faint now and almost non-existant it is still there. I notice my laptop back on the passenger seat dancing a little. Anyway I am at a loss and think it is the IAC just needs to be set properly so the engine will idle smoother. My idle currenty is at 650-700 and rock solid when in Park, Nuetral or Drive. Does not move around. According to the MB maint CD that is where it should be. Oil pressure also is fine. I am at a loss. Also just need to set this thing for better starts. Takes a few seconds to turn over in the morn but still fires fine and runs great after that. Help please.....

Idle problem mostly fixed by replacing vacumm fitting on Heat Valve. Now to find the rest inside the damn car. I found the ones and checked all them on the passenger side behind the glove box, but now need to rip apart parts of the dash for the rest. Any quick easy ways to get to them on a W201?
