Help! power seats don't work

Both of my power seats have quit working. I have checked the relay and the fuse and both are good. Other componets on the fuse do work. Is there another component I am missing. My chilton book doesn't have a wiring diagram so I am not sure where to start. Anyone- help please. I did a search but didn't come up with anything. This is on an 84 190E.

Thank in advance for your help.

If neither of the seats work, it seems pretty likely that they are not getting power. A fuse can be bad without looking bad, and the contacts of the fuse can also be bad. The fuse can be tested with an ohmeter (infinite resistence= working fuse) The leads can be tested using the volt setting of the same device, with the switch on.

I had a Toyota that would have the AC stop working every five years when the fuse corroded a bit. You could not tell from looking at it. Polishing off the ends with steel wool fixed the problem.

I suppose you could pry out the switch and see it the swith is getting voltage. It is unlikely both switches would stop working at the same time.

I have checked the fuse and it is good. The rear interior light is on the same fuse as the seat and it works.

Thanks

Double checked the relay and swapped the one for the electric windows and the relay was the problem.
