I have a 93 300E, 3.2 L. When cold, the engine surges at red lights and stops. The tach drops to 500 and the engine will shutter as though it will stall. It has not actually stalled yet, but acts as such. After driving for 15 minutes or so, it idles just fine.
I have also noticed that dropping it into neutral seems to eliminate the problem. I put new plugs, wires, air and fuel filters into it. Any advice? Thanks in advance for your help! Jeff |

This post sounds familiar. Did you have this problem before?
There can be three options: throttle actuator, mass air meter, or vacuum leak.
