Diagnostic Equipment
I would like to buy some diagnostic equipment to test my 1992 230TE. I have seen a product by Carsoft. Has anyone used it, or can you recommend something better.

A 1992 230TE will only have impulse diagnostics. Read the DIY article Evaluating engine controls, it shows the technique for impulse counting. All systems with onboard diagnostics at that time were impulse or duty cycle.
