Talking about Alignment .... so where ?

Ok.... I just want an alingment for my 95 W124..... Seriously, wouldn't Tire Kingdom or any of the Larger Chains be able to align these cars? I imagine they plus in make / model / year in computer and it throws out the specs to align...

Would it really be four wheel alignment? How the heck would they align the rear??

The two local indi's in town, that I know of, do not have alignment machines and the dealer... well....... F em.... :D

thanks

These suspension are very sensitive. After 2 attempts at the MB Dealer, the alignment on my car is still not to my satisfaction. Although the Service Manager says "It's Perfect". The printer was running low on ink, so I am unable to read the print out.

I am planning to travel a 100 miles and take it to another MB dealer.

When I replaced the tires with Goodyear Eagle GT's, had 3 of them replaced under warranty as the roadforce numbers were around 20 and I was getting vibrations. The Goodyear dealer clamied that usually numbers upto 25 do not cause any problems, except in this case.

yosshimura,

I got a shop that I give my alignments to here in N.M.B, He does a good job and charges about 90.00 . If it was my personal car I would take it right to the dealer. They have the best tools and proper tools for MB's. Other wise you can call me I will give you the # to my alignment guy.

I have yet to find a place that will do alignments on a benz other then the dealer.

So far I had never done one on my car, but tire wear is even, no vibrations, so I'm happy, and this is after all these times I took the suspension apart :)

Rear wheel carriers came off more than once :)

Man, so complicated... so then are alignments "for ever"? LOL, ok not for ever, but how often... I got tires with about 10K miles, Continentals, not a sign of uneven wear, but just want to take a precaution I guess.. right? or don't worry about it until they start wearing out unevenly... maybe not...
