Ads Fault Lamp
 

CAR IS 1998 SL600. AFTER DRIVING FOR 30 OR 45 MINUTES ADS FAULT LAMP ON INSTRUMENT PANEL LIGHTS UP AND STAYS ON UNTIL CAR IS TURNED OFF AND RESTARTED. LIGHT GOES OFF THEN BUT RELIGHTS AFTER 30 OR 45 MINUTES. WHEN LAMP IS LIT I CAN TELL NO DIFFERENCE IN HOW THE CAR RIDES OR HANDLES. HYDRAULIC FLUID RESERVOIR UNDER HOOD IS AT PROPER LEVEL. THIS PROBLEM IS INTERMITTENT AND DOESNT SEEM TO BE TRIGGERED BY DRIVING STYLE OR ROAD SURFACE. HOWEVER THE PROBLEM IS EXPERIENCED ALMOST EVERY TIME I DRIVE THE CAR AND IS ANNOYING! CAR ONLY HAS 41000 MILES. ANY SUGGESTIONS OR ADVICE GREATLY APPRECIATED. THANKS BOB B

ADS intermittent fix
 

RUN to the Dealer (it IS in warranty isn't it) and beg,cry,scream until they fix it for good. You don't want to know what it can cost.

It may be as simple as a G sensor wiring problem--or ?

BTW, You WILL have serious wiring harness problems soon on the electronic throttle acutuators, the fuel injector wiring harness, the main wiring harness, and most all other underhood wiring.
