I'll make / post another video when I can find a longer road. Looks like in the car's current tune 0-55 took about 9 seconds.

It's shifting way too soon. also seems like you aren't getting enough boost.

That is not a awful 0-60 time considering the weight of the car, its age and the context of when it was made. Back then that 0-60 time was good. What new engine did you put in it? I am guessing the stock motor?

Redline on the .970 3.5l is 4,100 rpm. If I had been holding the kickdown switch it would have shifted a bit later. If you look carefully you'll see the shifts happen just before the gear markings on the speedo. IIRC boost is 13 PSI last time I hooked a gauge up, I want to double check it.

A prior owner had the engine replaced with a Mercedes reman longblock. I have not adjusted anything on the pump yet. Eventually I want to turn it up to W140 / .971 specs.

Modified 0-60 run
 

I just made a couple adjustments to the pump... turned up the full load one turn, and raised the RPM limiter to 4400 RPM. It made a nice improvement, and there is no smoke.


Now I kind of wished I had turned the full load up 1 1/2 turns :eek:

Daaaaaaaamn Jason that's a quick car! We will have to compare it to my 617 once I'm done pulling it from the blue 123. I can't wait to get the holset turbo, intercooler, and slick manifolds on that nice high compression motor.

I kind of want to turn it up a bit more and see what I get, but I'll need to modify the throttle linkage.... it won't have enough travel. But it wouldn't be that hard to mod.

I also want to re-run when I'm not dodging traffic and have a better camera.
