Pros and cons of Floor shifter for W108

I purchased a floor shifter today and was cosidering converting the 280S. (There is a W111 250SEC missing one know at the junkyard in Lacey, Washington. The rest of the car is mostly there, too).

Anyone have good or bad luck with these shifters?

Well, one pro or con depends on your significant other.... if you like them sitting by you... it's a con. If you're sick of their butt and want them to stay the heck away, it's a pro...

Our '67 has it on the floor, our '68 on the column. I think I like the floor model better, although both serve me just fine..... I think it looks better on the floor though... personal opinion.....
