Washer resevoir cap for a 72 250C?

I'm trying to locate a windshield washer resevoir cap/valve for my 72 250C. So far I have had no joy in locating this part. The original has become brittle and broken. Anybody know where I could get a replacement apart from a MB dealer?

Cheers.

The bottle shape may change from model to model but the cap from any W114 should work. It has a check valve in it that may be broken or stuck, see if you can check it out before buying.

You might check with Phil, he can probably get you a new one.

the bottle shape has changed so has the cap--because the old cap will not work with the new bottle (hight constraint) .. let me look here in the next couple of days and see if i have my old one still lying around.. i think that was the deal.. if not then i did re-use it.. let me look.

The plastic T-tube that comes immediately from my cap is snaped. It has a miniture bottle cap on the top part of the T. Does your old cap have this?

Thanks

that sounds like the valve that i re-used.. on the "new" setup it is not in the cap. had to move it to another location because of the hight constraint. the new tank is larger and taller.

I was looking for a new bottle cap for my 108's washer bottle. Phoned MB at 1-800-MB CLASSIC and was given the part #115 860 01 69, about $12 from the dealer. Not sure if our vehicles share this part, but phoning MB might be a good start.

what he needs is the valve though, from the sounds of it. it probably is available from the dealer.. they still have everything for these old cars.
