Why do I have oil dripping from under the dash
I just noticed after driving to the parts store...I had oil all over my shoe. It looks to be dripping from an area around the steering column, almost from where it comes out from under the dash. The steering column cover has a foam pad that is soaked in oil. The only thing I messed with on the dash was the instrument cluster...I removed it and replaced it after tightening the the retaining ring that holds the glass to the gauges in place. What behind the cluster has oil running thru it? Or is this something different?

Either invest in oil stocks or repair the leak.
Make sure the nut connecting the oil pressure line to the oil gauge is tight (10 mm wrench). Loosen the speedo cable and pull the instrument panel towards you for best access. |
