Silver 450SEL

I drove alongside a sharp, silver 450SEL today. I forgot what a great looking car they are. Sweet ride.

You just don't see them anymore.

You just can't beat a W116 chassis for classic Mercedes styling, and all that beautiful chrome.

Is that what they are?

I remember seeing a picture of Jacqueline Onassis in English riding gear using the front bumper of a '74+ US-spec w116 sedan as a step to facilitate mounting her horse.

Mercedes thought of everything back then.

Some of the best made coolest old cars-I was hooked when JR Ewing drove that baby up the drive way at South Fork. I have had at least 8 of them. In all my favorite colors- best was the signal red....yes a bit whorish, but that was power and class in the 70's.
