just bypass that rheostat , make your life easy, no more turns , just brightness

One of the many rules for my 250CE is as follows.

"Touching the dimmer knob for the dash lights incurs an instant death penalty, thinking of touching the knob also results in swift death."

After 14 million back and forths I finally bypassed the dimmer.

I know this doesn't look like much, but it's the most glorious thing to me.

I did quite a few back and forths and finally figured out it didnt make any difference if I did 10 or 10 million of them, replaced the rheostat and I have lights now! I had to go out after dark and sit in the car and smile...its the small things in life!

you are not alone, after cleaning guages, painting the dials , cleaning the bulbs, fixing the wiring , rheostat, spent many a day in the dark admiring my work on several of the ol gals. Which reminds me I need to do the 84:)
