yes, i saw this chart earlier, and it seems to be the most accurate. (thanks)

there are a few of the 300's for sale which claim to be special versions; sounds like b.s.

again, a beautiful car, with amazing engineering - engine, fuel injection, suspension, disc brakes all around in later models. but, as you previously stated, not a daily driver option, ever. strictly for collectors with deep pockets. its ok, sometimes one must appreciate perfection without possessing it.

Beautiful cars. When I was stationed in Germany in the late '70's, my neighbor had a 300SE coupe that he was restoring. I had a 1966 250SE coupe that needed restoring! He hired a local to do the major welding, and did most of the mechanics by himelf. A I recall, he said fixing the airbags (suspension) was easy. We lived at Robinson Barracks in Stuttgart, just up the hill from the #1 Mercedes dealership, and all of the parts were available (for a price, of course) from Mercedes. His car was silver with a black interior, mine was green with tan (saddle) interior. His ran like a million bucks, mine didn't, it had a sticking valve. Wonder if he still has it?

Yes , I own a 67 300se coupe "Euro" spec'd. . I don't have any photos readily available but it's a beauty and I am very happy with it. For those of you interested in the W112's , head on over to 300se.org and brush up on them. Chris Johnson has been a fan of these cars for many years and has assembled a lot of information about them .

Cheers ...

Ken ,
I sniffed around it a little bit but he wouldn't come down off his $3k price & I decided that it is just too rusty to bother with....I really don't need any parts anyway and so it's still there , as far as I know....

Thanks for the info. that you provided me with about it !!
