Front windows on 73 280C adjustment
Both door glasses tilt back as they raise (power windows) once fully up they are not even with the back glass. I've removed the driver door card to see what adjustment I could make. The regulator is forward in the door and you can rock the glass forward the back. Is that a sign of a worn regulator or am I missing an adjustment? Or is it worn channel felts in the rear track?

Re: 280C front window adjustment
These are long, heavy windows that need to be properly located in the channels within the door. There should be some sort of allen-bolt adjustment beneath the chrome plate at the back of the door cap to keep tension on the rear of the glass as it rises to prevent it from tilting fore and aft. If the regulator, channels and associated hardware are lubricated and adjusted properly the coupe windows work surprisingly well. Tim Kraakevik [email protected] Four M110's |
