Shipping Options

I have a potential buyer for the W108 seats I have for sale but would need to ship them to California. Wondering if anyone has experience shipping larger items and could offer advice on the best (economical) way to do this and keep these beauties protected in transit.

I bought a whole interior once on ebay and the seller shipped it using Greyhound. I had to pick it up at the bus terminal, but it was very economical if I recall.

Let us know what you find out.

Break the seats down by unbolting the halves from the hinge. Square things ship easier. Then go with grey hound or check out uship.com

I've crated items with ABF before, they are an outstanding company to deal with. I'd imagine the Greyhound shipping would be cheaper tho, but give them a call and explain your needs for a quote. Be sure they understand you're a private individual from the outset, not a business shipper (if that's the case).

I ship via grey hound regularly without issue. Ive shipped multiple large VW bus seats with no ill effects on the upholstery too. You could break them down as suggested, cover with a layer of cardboard and wrap liberally with the plastic cling wrap on a roll that Home depot sells in the moving department.add some tape to keep it from unraveling and your good to go.
