Does anyone have experience with air conditioning in a W113 (230/250/280SL)? I am using my 230SL as a mostly daily driver and I was wondering if it was worthwhile to add AC for the summer. I am referring to the unit carried by Bud's and the other speciality parts houses.

I have a '70 280sl and had an AC unit installed about a year ago. It was an external unit and sits below the center console. The mech had to increase the idle rpm a little for compensation purposes but besides that not many problems.

That is the unit that I am thinking about. How effective is at cooling the car? Would you do it again?
