Very nice to see your progress and changes! Did you do any internal work to the G8 engine before putting it in? Cam, stroker kit, etc. or just 100% factory?

Just a few. The L76 engine is somewhat of a 6.0 aluminum block LS3 (vs LS3 being 6.2). It came out just before the LS3 and has DOD (displacement on demand). Basically, using oil pressure, it drops out 4 cylinders at highway speeds. It is sometimes problematic. I mostly swapped parts from my LQ4 over, including the cam (218/224 .600”/.600” 114 LSA +4 advance), lifters, valve springs, oil pump and Hooker exhaust manifolds. The DOD delete required a new cam gear, chain, tensioner and valley tray cover. And for good measure I ordered new rocker arms that have the roller bearings encapsulated and stronger push rods for the extra spring tension. I had a new engine/transmission wiring harness made and replaced all the engine sensors. The engine had just over 100k miles on it, I purchased the carfax report and the service records all show dealer serviced for all but the last year when the car changed hands. I pulled the heads and the cylinder walls still show the original crosshatching and no issues. These engines have a history of some higher than normal oil consumption. This is due to how the crankcase is vented into the intake. I purchased the updated valley cover that has better design to minimize this. Intake manifold and heads showed oil buildup from this. I hope to put on the dyno in the next couple of months, but should be in the 430-440 HP range.
