W108 floor shift vs column
Can anyone tell me what percentage of w108s 4.5s were floor shift vs column shift transmissions? I know floor shifts are more coveted. Any input?

All the W108/109 4.5s (which were exclusively US market only) came with the new torque converter 3 speed automatic. Unlike the previous w108/109s, which had the torus 4/speed and with a choice of floor or column shifter, I think the cars with the newer transmission only came in floor shift. Am I wrong? |
HI ALL.I have 1967 300sel r/h/d imported to the uk from australia...Its got the straight 6 cylinder engine which I am told went into the gullwing!! not sure...But does anyone know what is the correct distributer for this car?As the one ive got in it at the moment works but it looks to small for such a big engine. It was running until somebody lost the rotar arm and its very hard to replace, cant seem to locate one in uk...Has anyone got any thoughts on this???
