w110 Fuel tank swap
Hello all,
Sooo, i have a 1968 230 (W110) and the gas tank is in sorry shape from sitting for years before i bought the car. Its full of rust on the inside and it keeps clogging up my Webers. I had over a 1/4 inch of silt in the bottom of the bowls last i checked. Instead of dealing with trying to reseal the tank, i just want to buy a new one. W110's came with a 65L tank, which is still available from Mercedes for a cool 1500$ lol. The larger tank that the w108 and (w111??) got was a 82L and i can buy for about 300$. Looks the same, same mounting points, same filler neck position, its just a little wider to the left side. W108/W110/W111 are all very similiar back aft to my knowledge. Will a 82L tank fit in a W110 chassis?
