67 230SL Euro model
Looking for any information as to correct alternator for this car. US 68 230SL is very similar and takes Bosch AL64x. However, this does not work on Euro model. If anyone can provide details would appreciate it.

Please define "doesn't work". What's not matching up, the electrical connectors on the back ? The bolt pattern to support it or the pulley ?
What kind of alternator is there now ? -CTH

Thanks for response. We figured out that we need to swap the connectors as one has round pins and the other has square. Otherwise, everything checks out.

Star Quality sell the Connector Modification kit / harness.
The later alts were 20A stronger...

Dunno about the 230, but when I ordered an alternator for my 250C, they sent me a low output model and the only difference was the connectors. I exchanged if for the high output model which plugged right in.
I am wondering if this is your issue as well. I used partsouth.com and they were really cheap and reasonably knowledgeable,
