Bumper interchange, 112 to 110,,,,
A friend across the country needs a new bumper for his 110. I have one from a 112 I will never use and he was wondering if it would fit his car.
I looked in my old Hollander manual and it shows that he bracket numbers for the 110 start with a 115 part number and the brackets for the 112 all start with a 108 number. Has anyone attempted this swap and did the brackets line up? I thought if someone could give a real answer it would save me the trouble of packing this thing and shipping it only to find out it will not fit. |

Which bumper? The front bumper ends will be too long, and the tires might scrape on them when turning. The rear bumper would fit, but would have extra over-riders. I don't think it ever looks right when people put W111/W112 bumpers on W110's, and vice-versa, though the W111 220 had a W110 rear bumper from the factory.

I had noticed the rear bumper looked like it would fit when I studied on this a few years ago. I never tried to bolt it on but the thing looked right. Thanks for the information. |
