Getting ready for engine swap w114

Hello guys I'm getting ready to swap my 1972 mercedes 250c with a 1995 mb c280 m104 engine
My concern is can I use the same transmission as the c280 with the drives haft and differential I know k have make some modifications
Any info would help

the starter is on the opposite side. The bell pattern is different. No clue how the vacuum modulator would react, nor the little detent lever on the throttle (which is also on the wrong side).

Isn't this a great time to go for a 5-speed stick that bolts up to the M104? Then you only have to worry about finding a W114 clutch pedal & shifter, M102/103/104 flywheel and customize the drive shaft a little. (And maybe learn how to drive a stick?)

I would do a m112 swap over an m104. M112 is superior in every way.

I do drive stick shift lol but I was thinking to drop the whole drive train from the w202 to the w114 swap everything over
