W108 1971 280se 6cyl Fuel Line Hoses
I am trying to replace all rubber fuel hoses on my 1971 280se 6 cyl. M130. Has anyone compiled a list of what fuel hoses I need including ID sizes and lengths.
I've searched the site but did not find any conclusive information. Any help would be appreciated. |

Hi : ok its a SE Model Fuel Injection :
So you need quality Fuel Lines for Hi Pressure . Most of my Mercedes are Carb Models and they have rubber Lines Like you say you have as well . If you have any of the old Lines Left then you know the size Just match them up at most any Auto Parts store . For length Just Measure the distance needed and add a few Inches extra just in case . if you don't have any Lines then you need to take some fittings to the auto parts store to make sure you get a good tight fit IE : the right size . You may need some new Clamps as well . The solid Band Clamps are much better then then Non solid Band bands Non solid chews into the Rubber . I would be sure to mention that you have fuel injection at the Auto parts store . Perhaps an SE Model expert can chime in here you may need " Hi Pressure Rubber Fuel lines " |

Please make sure you use Gates "Barricade" F.I. hose or the equivalent, because of the alcohol content of today's gas.

Likely 8mm / 5/16" as this is what my 4.5 used, the 6 cyl is probably the same.
