What's this?

This part came of its place and it was doing some noise when turning to the left at 20+ miles....What is this for? and What is the proper procedure to put it back in its place?...Are there any O rings, clips, etc that I will need?.

It came out from the back of the left rear rotor plate.

Thanks,

looks distinctly like an anti roll bar linkage to me...

replace with new item. end with finger is supposed to have bolt coming out of it, this is still in the bar.

Stabilizer link, Sway bar link, Anti-roll bar link. The last time I needed one the MB dealer still had them.

That link fits W108, W114/5, W123, and W126 cars at least -- dealer will have them in stock, believe it or not, and anyone can order them for you.

Easy to replace, too -- 17 mm wrench on nut and bolt on the sway bar, will either bolt to wheel carrier with a nut or just screw in.
