Sorry to say that your car probably has the early climate-control system with the servo unit on the firewall--an ill-conceived contraption that brings coolant into proximity with current. They crack, they leak, they corrode. They're also costly to replace. See

I'm happy to say I have no direct experience with them. But it's on the Fuse 10 circuit, I believe -- I'd look there rather than the blower motor to find out why it's blowing. Unplug the servo and see if any fuses melt.
