You might have read about my experience at the other mailing list.

This was what exactly happened to me the last time i change my shocks. I know its not supposed to be that way but thats what happened!

The only explanation i can think of is that the bilstein exerts a pretty strong upward force on the ca, ie they tend to extend themselve to the fullest with considerable force so that might raised the car ride height.

Theoretically, this should not be the case though... shocks are just meant to dampen any movement and oscillations.
