I'll assume the outer brg is still on the hub?
If so, yea no problem getting the inner to seat. If the outer has been removed... I'd consider replacing it just because the brg is not expensive compared to your time. If it was damaged in removeal.
For re-installation on thehub, I'd do the heat it to 300F in an oil bath or carefully with a torch and drop it on making sure it seats well. Very old time thing and heat-treatments shouldn't be effective until say 600F.
