Hello,

I have a 84 300 SD. In replacing the oil pan gasket, is there any compound that supposed to be applied to the gasket. It seems the manual says that you don't need anything but I can't acheive a proper seal and I continue to get oil spills. Any help on this matter?

Also, if I want to replace the fuel injectors on this car, what else will I need besides 1) rebuilt fuel injectors 2) The Black overflow hose and endcap 3) 27 mm deep socket. The injectors were last replaced > 100 K ago and I'm hoping to see a performance boost (I regularly use diesel purge)

Do I need to get any kind of seals etc or any other parts before attempting injector repair?
