I bought the 280CE about 2 weeks ago. My second Benz and first 123. Went and looked and drove since the last post and came to terms with the seller. Little more than I wanted to pay, but still cheaper than some big screen TV's I've seen for sale. (and will probably last longer) Definitely a unique car not seen everyday. Drove home for 2 hours of autobahn cruising and all was well. Don't know the rear axle ratio, but revs are up there at highway speeds. Seller had 15" 8 hole 124 style wheels, but included the original 14" wheels. Actually the bundt style looks better on the 123. Best look I think is the 15" 15 spoke 126 style. Now have to get used to 123 chassis vs. 124. Definitely a different animal. Noticed some vibration at higher speeds - seems to be from tires. Went away for the Thanksgiving weekend and have been busy since, but will get underneath again and check for leaks and get a to-do list going.
